PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustible gas detecting apparatus which automatically selects a sensor according to the concentration of a combustible gas to be measured regardless of the concentration of the combustible gas. SOLUTION: In the combustible gas detecting apparatus, a heavily doped region detecting part 1 is selected by a switching means 4 in the case that it is detected that the detection output of a lightly doped region detecting part 2 exceeds a predetermined value or in the case that it is detected that a pulse signal is outputted from the lightly doped region detecting part 2.
