PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent boiling spill from invading into an external cylinder 83 through a gap 86 in the pot bottom temperature sensor 8 for cooking stove provided with an internal cylinder 82 with its upper end blocked with a heat collecting plate 81 abutted on the bottom surface of a cooking container P, and the external cylinder 83 surrounding the internal cylinder 82, and wherein a temperature detection device 80 is provided on an undersurface of the heat collecting plate 81, a lid part 85 inward projected in the radial direction is provided at the upper end of the external cylinder 83, and the lid part 85 is made to be not in contact with the internal cylinder 82 to leave the gap 86 between the lid part 85 and the internal cylinder 82. SOLUTION: An umbrella part 87 projected above the lid part 85 to cover the gap 86 from the upper part between the lid part 85 and the internal cylinder 82 and uncontacted with the lid part 85 is integrally formed on the periphery of the heat collecting plate 81.
