PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rising type bed apparatus which holds the legs of a user at a folding angle corresponding to the using situation of the user. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with: a bed frame 6; a bed plate 21 comprising a fixed bed part 22 fixed to this bed frame, first leg raising bed parts 25 and 27 and second leg raising bed parts 26 and 28 sequentially rotatably connected to one end of this fixed bed part; a pair of leg raising parts 43 which are provided on the lower face side of the bed plate to drive the first leg raising parts with one end connected to the fixed bed part as a fulcrum in the rising direction of the other end; and a holding mechanism 51 which holds the second leg raising bed part associated with the operation of the first leg raising bed part at a raised position when the other end of the first leg raising bed part is driven in the raising direction of the first leg raising bed part and which can vary the holding angle of the second leg raising bed part.
