An optical material comprising a curable fluoropolymer (I) of 500 to 1,000,000 number average molecular weight, represented by the formula: (1) (wherein the structural unit M is a structural unit derived from a fluorinated organic group having a side chain of crosslinkable cycloether structure, and the structural unit A is a structural unit derived from a monomer copolymerizable with a fluorinated ethylenic monomer represented by the formula (M)), wherein the structural unit M is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 100 mol% and the structural unit A in an amount of 0 to 99.9 mol%; or further comprising a photo acid generator (II). Thus, there are provided various optical materials and cured members being excellent in transparency in near-infrared region, antihygroscopic property, heat resistance, etc., which are suitable for use as optical device materials such as an optical wave guide and a sealant and display device materials such as an antireflection film.
