The object of the invention is to prevent a thermoplastic resin composition containing an inorganic filler as a rigidity improver from being deteriorated in impact resistance and surface smoothness by the inorganic filler. The invention relates to a polyphenylene ether resin composition comprising (a) 10 to 93 wt% of a polyphenylene ether resin and, if necessary, a styrenic resin, (b) 2 to 20 wt% of a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer having functional groups, and (c) 5 to 60 wt% of an inorganic filler finished with a silane compound.
