Process for performing reactions in a fluidized particle layer involves suctioning a medium to be inserted into the particle layer using a gaseous propellant medium operating according to the jet pump principle, mixing with the medium and inserting into the particle layer. An Independent claim is also included for a fluidized bed reactor comprising a wind line (1) for the medium to be injected into the reactor. A nozzle (5) with an inlet (6) for a propellant medium and an outlet in a fluid connection with the reactor is provided. The suction opening of the nozzle is connected to a wind line (1).
