COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, CHANNEL HASHING METHOD THEREOF AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING ECCLM

PURPOSE: A communication system, a channel hashing method thereof and a method for providing an ECCLM(Extended CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) Channel List Message) are provided to hash a channel to a frequency which supports an F-PDCH(Forward-Packet Data CHannel) in an 1xEV-DV(1x Evolution Data and Voice) MS(Mobile Station) by adding a field for informing whether the corresponding frequency of the ECCLM supports the F-PDCH. CONSTITUTION: In case of using an ECCLM for channel hashing, it is judged whether a BS(Base Station) or an MS supports an F-PDCH(1xEV-DV). If the BS or the MS supports the F-PDCH(1xEV-DV), frequencies which do not support the F-PDCH(1xEV-DV) are eliminated from a candidate frequency group for channel hashing. It is judged whether the BS or the MS supports a QPCH(Quick Paging CHannel) or an RC(Radio Configuration) is greater than 2(S23). If the BS or the MS supports the QPCH or the RC is greater than 2, frequencies in which the QPCH is not supported or the RC is less than or same to 2 are eliminated from the candidate frequency group(S24). A new CDMA channel is selected as a service frequency from a lastly residual candidate frequency group, and it is moved to the selected frequency(S25).
