PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which wrinkles of a paper passing through a nip between a fixing roller and a pressure roller is prevented. SOLUTION: A first heat roller 53 incorporating a heater 55 for heating abuts on a fixing roller 51. A second heat roller 54 incorporating a heater 56 for heating abuts on a pressure roller 52. The fixing roller 51 is formed in the shape of a gradually curving inverted crown in such a manner that the diameters of its both ends are large and the diameter of the roller 51 decreases gradually from the ends toward the central part in the axial direction. The crown value of a portion having the shape of the inverted crown is preferably in the range of 0.05 to 0.7 mm. The external layers of the fixing roller 51 and pressure roller 52 are formed respectively of an elastic body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
