PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a stable transmission of driving by effectively preventing oil leakage from the contact faces of the boss parts of a sprocket and a pulley in an engine in which the sprocket boss part coaxially surrounding a crankshaft is formed integrally with a sprocket forming a part of a chain transmission mechanism, a chain case covering the chain transmission mechanism is connected to one end of an engine body so as to be fitted in the direction along the axis of the crankshaft, and the pulley holding the sprocket boss part in the clearance thereof from an annular step part provided in the crankshaft is fixed to the end part of the crankshaft rotatably passed through the chain case. SOLUTION: The crankshaft is rotatably passed through, and an annular seal member 34 is installed between the inner surface of a shaft hole 33 provided in the chain case and the sprocket boss part 28 inserted into the shaft hole 33.
