PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a chuck device that can fix and support workpieces well made of brittle or nonmagnetic materials or workpieces that have few flat faces. SOLUTION: A silicon rubber tube 5 is provided in the center of a chuck block 3 that has a plurality of open spaces 4 to hold the workpieces. Ink heads (workpieces) W and W are set between vertical walls 43 and 44 of the chuck block 3 and the tube 5, and the diameter of the tube 5 expands when air is taken into the tube 5. Thus the ink heads W are fixed and supported between the vertical walls 43 and 44 of the chuck block 3 and the tube 5. A core material 52 is inserted through the inside of the tube 5 to facilitate taking out the ink heads W when the tube 5 shrinks and the tube 5 retracts from the ink heads W while receiving constraint of shape change.
