PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain the speed of electrochemical machining high by retaining a fine clearance between an electrode and a workpiece while securing the durability of an insulating member at low cost, when performing the electrochemical machining using an electrode tool for the electrochemical machining for forming a dynamic pressure generating groove. SOLUTION: This electrode tool 61 for the electrochemical machining for forming the dynamic pressure generating groove on the surface of the workpiece comprising a dynamic pressure bearing is provided with the electrode and an insulating plate 63. The electrode 62 is provided with an electrode surface 67 formed with an electrode pattern 68 and a bottom part 69 recessed from the electrode surface 67. The insulating plate 63 is a member locked to the bottom part 69 of the electrode 62. The insulating plate 63 is provided with a ridge part 71 projecting from an electrode pattern 68 and the ridge part 71 abuts on the surface of the workpiece in forming the groove and secures the fine clearance for electrolyte between the electrode pattern 68 and the workpiece.
