PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a welding electrode fixing device with which the replacement of the welding electrode is easily completed in a short period of time. SOLUTION: The welding electrode fixing device 20 fixes a welding electrode 7 in a state where a part 10 of the welding electrode is projected therefrom. The welding electrode fixing device 20 incorporates a volume variable body 74 which receives a pressurized fluid and expands, and further ejects the same and shrinks. On expansion, the volume variable body 74 strongly presses the base part 12 of the welding electrode 7, and fixes the welding electrode 7 to the fixing device 20. On shrinkage, the volume variable body 74 releases the base part 12 of the welding electrode, and detaches the welding electrode 7 from the fixing device 20, and enables the same to be replaced.
