The sheet conveyor (3) has a gripper bridge (2) which describes a circular arc and takes up the printed sheet (4.1) from a sheet-conveying drum and transfers it to the sheet conveyor whereby the sheets are moved hanging free practically vertical to the delivery unit whereby an air conveyor device (5) directs air currents (5.1,5.2) between adjoining sheets. The gripper can be driven in oscillation and is assigned a separate drive motor.
