Marker pen comprises a water-based abradable soft solid composition comprising a colorant, an acid-functional polyacrylate and a soap gel. The polyacrylate is in the form of a solvent-free aqueous dispersion or an alkali-soluble solid. An Independent claim is also included for production of a molded composition as above by mixing a fatty acid with the polyacrylate, colorant and optional additives, heating the mixture to at least 50degreesC, adding sodium hydroxide to neutralize the fatty acid and polyacrylate, homogenizing the mixture, pouring it into molds and cooling it to form a gel.
