PURPOSE: A dual mode network modem is provided to be operated in two or radio networks such as a packet switching network and a line switching network. CONSTITUTION: One or more radio wave connection units(320,325) connect to one or antennas(310,315). A modem control unit(330) connects to one or more radio wave connection units(320,325). A modem connection unit(335) connects to the modem control unit(330). The second network is a line switching network. The second network is a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) network. The first network uses an IP(Internet Protocol) packet. The radio wave connection unit(320) is connected to a packet switching network. The radio wave connection unit(325) is connected to the line switching network. The radio wave connection unit(320) packetizes data to be transmitted to the first radio network.
