<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio terminal equipment and a communication system in which the effect of widening a communicable range by interposing a virtual base station is obtained at a maximum. <P>SOLUTION: The radio terminal equipment is used in a master/slave communication system wherein one terminal in a group becomes a master station and other terminals become slave stations. The radio terminal equipment has, as switchable operating modes, at least a standby mode for acquiring information on a terminal communicable with a present terminal by performing communications within the group, a master station mode and a slave station mode, and is provided with a first means for acquiring the information on the communicable terminal of the other terminal, selecting terminals of master station candidates based upon the communicable terminal information of the terminals and notifying the other terminal of the selected result, and a second means for switching the operating mode to the master station mode when the present terminal is selected as the master station candidate and switching the operating mode to the slave station mode when the present terminal is not selected based upon the selected result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
