PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing fine particle barium carbonate by which fine particle barium carbonate having low impurity content and small ignition loss is manufactured at a low cost and barium titanate is obtained at a low cost and a method of manufacturing barium titanate. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing fine particle barium carbonate is performed by bringing a soluble barium salt-containing solution (a), carbon dioxide or a soluble carbonate-containing solution (b), and a granular medium (c)into contact with each other and while fluidizing the granular medium (c) at high speed. The method of manufacturing the fine particle barium carbonate is performed by fluidizing the mixture of barium carbonate slurry (d) and the granular medium (c) while fluidizing the granular medium (c) at high speed.
