PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plurality of sensors in a system on which a plurality of signals are incident, and enhance capabilities of separation and extraction of the incident signals by performing appropriate processing on each sensor output. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for separating and isolating input signals by use of the plurality of sensors (for example, microphones), thereby forming a directivity characteristic, a linear prediction analysis circuit for calculating predicted residuals against a certain number of the sensor outputs, a re-synthesis filter to which the outputs of the linear prediction analysis circuit are input, and a subtractor for calculating differences between the outputs of the re-synthesis filter and the outputs of other sensors are provided. As a result of updating coefficients of the re-synthesis filters so as to obtain minimized subtractor outputs, a portion of the signals included in the other sensor outputs is eliminated.
