PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open type PM motor in which it is possible to prevent the entry of foreign matters. SOLUTION: The base end part of a first shielded object 16 is fixed on the inner face of a frame 1 closer to one end from a first open hole 14. Its tip part is made closer to a rotator 3 from a coil end 10 and to reach one end face of a stator 2. The base end part of a second shielded object 17 is fixed on the inner face of the frame 1 closer to the other end from a second open hole 15. Its tip part is made closer to the rotator 3 from a coil end 11 and to reach the other end face of the stator 2. Each gap among the first shielded object 16, the frame 1, and the stator 2 and each gap among the second shielded object 17, the frame 1, and the stator 2 are sealed by a sealing member 32 such as an adhesive and a compound.
