PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private cordless telephone system for realizing both an inexpensive centralized monitor system and an emergency broadcast system. SOLUTION: Private base stations 102 and 116 pick up images of nearby monitoring video by means of imaging devices 108 and transmit image pickup data to an exchange 109 via a LAN 100, and the exchange displays the nearby monitoring video of the private base stations on a display part 112 based upon the image pickup data. Besides, the exchange transmits audio data for emergency broadcasting to the private base stations via the LAN, and each private base station performs emergency broadcasting from a speaker 107 based upon the audio data for emergency broadcasting.
