PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for optical disk recording/reproducing, capable of stably recording data even when quality is deteriorated more on an outer periphery due to the partial distortion of an optical disk. SOLUTION: This optical disk recording/reproducing device monitors the high-frequency component of a tracking error signal or a focusing error signal during the high-speed recording/reproducing of data on an optical disk. The optical disk recording/reproducing device carries out recording/reproducing by lowering a linear velocity more on an outer periphery at a specified rate when it detects the eccentric center acceleration or woblling acceleration of a specifed threshold value or higher during data recording/reproducing by a CAV system in which a linear velocity is higher on the outer peripheral side or a CLV system in which a linear velocity is constant. Thus, since the frequency of the eccentric center acceleration or the wobbling acceleration is reduced, the responsiveness of tracking servo or focusing servo is improved, and data is normally recorded/reproduced.
