PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthesis method for stably obtaining BiMnO<SB>3</SB>as a crystal, and BiMnO<SB>3</SB>crystal. SOLUTION: The synthetic method includes a flux mixing and melting process for melting a mixture of B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, H<SB>3</SB>BO<SB>3</SB>, Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and Mn<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>under a pressure of≥3 GPa using B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and H<SB>3</SB>BO<SB>3</SB>as fluxes and a slow cooling process for slowly cooling the molten product produced by melting under the same pressure to synthesize the crystal of the BiMnO<SB>3</SB>.
