METHOD FOR PRODUCING REDUCED IRON POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing reduced iron powder by which mill-scale powder is used to produce the reduced iron powder having a wide range of apparent density distribution and maintaining suitable fluidity by restraining excess fluidity of the mill-scale powder being the raw material. SOLUTION: The method for producing the reduced iron powder comprises: mixing the mill-scale powder obtained by pulverizing the mill-scale and oil; filling a heat-resistant vessel with the mixture of the mill-scale powder and the oil in a cylindrical state; filling solid reducing agent into the outside and/or the inside of the mixture; successively, heating the mixture to reduce the mill-scale powder and forming a sponge iron-cake; and pulverizing the sponge iron-cake.
