PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide stroke structure for an automobile securing design latitude of an air conditioning unit layout. SOLUTION: A unit 9 arranged in an instrument panel 11 is supported in such a manner that the same can move to a front side FR by input of impact energy from knee 10a of seated occupant 10, and an impact energy absorbing member 22 of a guiding means capable of guiding the unit 9 to a fragile part 17a of the air conditioning unit 17 arranged in front side of the unit 9 is included.
