PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic mold for casting a wheel for vehicle, in which a gap is hardly caused on a mold mating surfaces etc. by heat-deformation, and the casting flash is restrained to obtain the high yield of casting, the cast defect such as misrun is reduced, the mechanical strength is excellent, the cycle time is shortened and the through-put is improved and also, the producing cost is reduced. SOLUTION: As one of the metallic mold to be improved, the metallic mold 11 for casting the wheel for vehicle, having a lower mold 3 provided with at least one sprue 18, an upper mold 1 forming a cavity (Cs)12 for forming spokes together with the lower mold 3 and a side mold 2 forming a cavity (Cl)13 for forming a rim together with the upper mold 1, is exemplified. The metallic mold 11 for casting the wheel for vehicle is characterized in the mold mating surface (Al) between the upper mold 1 and the side mold 2. It is characterized in that almost vertical flat plane part 81 to a cylindrical height direction of the cavity (Cl)13 for forming a cylindrical rim is provided at the upper end part of the cavity (Cl)13.
