PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electric press apparatus using a pressure intensifying mechanism capable of efficiently pressurizing a work to be formed even if the height of the work changes. SOLUTION: The electric press apparatus is equipped with a pressure section and an upper die which are elevated and lowered through a screw mechanism rotated by the motor for an electric cylinder, and is also equipped with a pressure intensifying mechanism which expands a pressurizing force generated by the screw mechanism to transmit the force to the pressure section and the upper die. The electric press apparatus is characterized in that the pressure intensifying mechanism is elevated and lowered integrally with the pressure section and the upper die. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
