PURPOSE: An IC optimizing performance according to consumed power is provided to obtain the optimized performance by controlling a period of clock signal according to the consumed current. CONSTITUTION: An IC optimizing performance according to consumed power includes a plurality of IP(Intellectual Property), a supply voltage line, a voltage conversion circuit, and a clock generation circuit(160). The supply voltage line is used for applying the internal supply voltage to the IP. The voltage conversion circuit is used for applying the external supply voltage to the supply voltage line according as the internal supply voltage is lower than the reference voltage. The clock generation circuit(160) generates a clock signal to the IP and changes a period of the clock signal in response to the amount of current applied to the supply voltage line.
