PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for manufacturing of an electrode with a high viscosity stability and an excellent production stability, as well as an electrode and a battery manufactured by using the liquid.

SOLUTION: The coating liquid used for a manufacturing of an electrode for a battery has its solvent contain a binder and a carbon system matter, and moreover, contains a polymer having a five-membered ring structure containing nitrogen as a side chain by not less than 1 ppm and not more than 10,000 ppm to the total weight of the coating liquid.
