<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output device, a data output system, an equipment information notifying method, and a data output method capable of sharing the position information of a storage even when two or more pieces of host equipment are connected to a network environment and eliminating the need of setting the position information of the storage in each host equipment. <P>SOLUTION: In the output device 1 which is connected to the storage 3 performing a storage service and the host equipment 2 respectively through a network 6 and receives and outputs the output data of the host equipment 2, a means for holding the position information of the storage 3 and a means for reporting the position information of the storage 3 to the host equipment 2 are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
