PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device that detects the abnormality of an AC power supply and stops a short-circuit operation.

SOLUTION: An input cycle of a zero cross signal from a zero cross detection circuit that detects the zero cross point of the AC power supply is measured, the circuit operation of a short-circuit circuit is stopped when the input cycle reaches a prescribed value or is out of a prescribed range, and also the short-circuit operation of the short-circuit circuit is stopped when the input cycle of the input signal of the zero cross signal is changed, or when the input signal of the zero cross signal is not inputted for a prescribed time. Furthermore, the short-circuit operation of the circuit for short-circuiting is stopped when the zero cross signal is not inputted during a range from the input time of the zero cross signal to a second prescribed time after a first prescribed time.
