<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local information providing method which obtains local information and accurately provides the information, and also provide a system therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The local information providing method executes a step which receives provided information detected by an information provider from a portable terminal; a step which checks the provided information thus received in a local information database and determines whether there is information having the same attribute in the provided information which has already been stored; a step which transmits a notification notifying that the provided information is not stored in the local information database to the portable terminal, when the information is determined to be the same information which has already been stored; a step which stores the provided information in the local information database and transmits the result of the storage to the portable terminal, when the information is determined to be different from the provided information which has already been stored; and a step which provides the provided information stored in the local information database in response to a request for the provision of information from a user's terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
