PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera wherein a lens barrel (image pickup optical system) can be automatically accommodated without deteriorating utilization efficiency of a battery. SOLUTION: In the digital camera, it is judged whether or not access is performed to a PC card which is used as a storage device after a constant period of time since a user changed to a mode except an photographing mode (step S11). In the case that the judgement becomes NO since access to the PC card is not performed, the image pickup optical system (lens barrel) is accommodated. As a result, the load on the battery is restrained so as not to become excessive when the lens barrel is accommodated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
