PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the main body part in a prescribed shape by adopting a structure in which the main body part is restrained from being opened toward outside in the terminal fitting. SOLUTION: The main body part 31 is formed in a nearly square barrel shape by folding the metal material punched in a prescribed shape along the longitudinal direction. In the main body part 31, out of the front part 37a of the outer wall 37 and the side wall 34 which are mutually brought to face, a front holding member 50 which is overlapped on the inner side of the side wall 34 is provided protrusively at the front part 37a of the outer wall 37. Since the front holding member 50 is locked onto the side wall 34, the front part 37a of the outer wall 37 can be restrained from opening toward outside. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
