PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate discharge and noise in a reduced pressure area and to eliminate gas leakage from a frit part by strengthening and keeping adhesion strength between the front glass and the back glass of a panel body, in a plasma display device. SOLUTION: A pair of substrates 1, 5 at least the front sides of which are transparent are disposed face to face so as to form a discharge space between the substrates, and their peripheral part is sealed by a sealing material 10. The sealing material 10 is formed of a material containing a crystal glass frit and a noncrystal glass frit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
