PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a reduction in the quality of a reproducing signal from a magnetic disk, and to easily transfer a desired magnetic pattern to the magnetic disk. SOLUTION: In a magnetic transfer device 10 for transferring a predetermined magnetic pattern formed on a master disk M to a magnetic disk D, the master disk M and the magnetic disk D are made to be in tight-contact, and the magnetic disk D is heated to temporarily lower its coercive force, and cooled by applying a magnetic field H.
