PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor on which an accurate electrostatic latent image with little blur is formed and is faithfully developed as a toner image, and where an image defect such as a black spot or an image memory is prevented to secure high image quality, and to provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus using the photoreceptor and a process cartridge used for the image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the organic photoreceptor constituted by laminating a charge generating layer and at least one or more charge transporting layers on a conductive support in order, the charge generating layer incorporates charge generating material of N type pigment and its film thickness is 0.3-2μm, then the charge transporting layer incorporates charge transporting material and the total film thickness of the charge transporting layers is 5-15μm.
