PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic capacity weight sensor which eliminates increase in electrostatic capacity and lowering of sensitivity due to long term heavy weight, be very high sensitivity and low cost. SOLUTION: The sensor is structured by attaching an insulation spacers 4 on both sides of a plate which stainless steel 5 is bonded on a dielectric sheet 6 and pinching it with a capacitor electrode S-3a and a capacitor electrode E-3b. Its surrounding is covered with an insulator 2 and covered again with a shield electrode 1 using APA aluminum resin complex panels 1, 2, 3a and 3b. The surrounding is covered with a shield 8 and again with a cover insulator 7. For the stainless steel 5, a stainless steel plate with a thickness of 0.1 to 0.8 mm is used. For the cover insulator 7, a material expanding and contracting by external pressure is used. For the shield 8, a material easily expanding and contracting by external pressure is used. By this structure, a capacity weight sensor is provided whose capacity between electrodes of capacitor varies sensitively by weight. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
