摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain good lubricating property in lubrication portions of a valve system and produce the least possible increase in the friction of the whole lubrication portions while suppressing the degradation of control responsiveness to an actuator to be operated in accordance with the hydraulic pressure of a lubricating oil. SOLUTION: This lubricating device for an internal combustion engine 1 comprises a first oiling mechanism 10 and a second oiling mechanism 20. The first oiling mechanism 10 supplies the lubricating oil having relatively low viscosity to lubrication portions of an engine crank shaft system including a crank shaft 2 and its bearings and lubrication portions of an engine piston system including a piston ring 6 and the inner wall face of a cylinder 5. On the other hand, the second oiling mechanism 20 supplies the lubricating oil to the lubrication portions of the valve system including interspaces between a cam 31 and each of valve lifters 32, 33 and a variable valve system 34 to be operated in accordance with the hydraulic pressure of the lubricating oil.
