PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified protective wall and a building-up method for the simplified protective wall each member of which is lightweight to be transported and built up manually at a site, foldable to reduce a storage space, formed of a material with excellent corrosion resistance and capable of taking charge of the pressure of sediment or the like inside a zone. SOLUTION: This simplified protective wall 1 formed by throwing in a filling material D in the zone surrounded by wall forming members 20, is composed of the wall forming members 20 foldably integrated by providing membrane bodies 22 between a plurality of posts 21; column base part members 30 for supporting the posts 21 in the state of being aligned at prescribed spaces, and connecting members 40 for connecting the posts 21 fixedly supported to the base part members 30.
