PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humor absorbent article for securely moving or renewing an absorbent material without separating a contractive material from the absorbent material. SOLUTION: This absorbent article comprises a liquid-permeable surface layer 2 formed on the side to be brought into contact with the skin of a user's body, a leakage preventive layer 3 formed on the side apart from the skin of the user's body, and a humor absorbent part 1 formed between the layers corresponding to a main absorbing range along the surface direction at least including the excretion part. The humor absorbent part 1 comprises the absorbent material 25 with the function of absorbing and holding the humor and the function of contracting by the contact with the humor inside the humor absorbent part 1, and a prescribed part of the absorbent material is fastened to the humor absorbent article. Such a material is used as the absorbent material that has a thread-like or string-like contractive material 27 to contract by the contact with the humor in its contracting range, and that both ends of the contractive material 27 are fastened with adhesives 28e and 28e with the adhesive force stronger than the contraction force of the contractive material 27.
