A process for producing a stream of fine granular particles in a gas flow, comprises dosing the particles into a gas flowing axially at raised pressure, and then changing the gas stream into a free jet. The particles are dosed using a number of concentrically arranged supply points which run parallel to the gas stream. The supply points connect onto a nozzle shaped chamber, where the gas flow changes to a free flow. The gas flow is at least 30x103 cm3/min, and the mass of fine granular material is at least 70g/min. The arrangement used to carry out the process consists of a pistol with a cylindrical housing (10) and longitudinal axis (19), an assembly wall (11) with compressed gas connections (14,15), and a distributor (20) for compressed gas.
