PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for special effect images capable of preventing image quality deterioration in an output image subjected to a special effect obtained by deforming an input image.

SOLUTION: The device for special effect images comprising: a reduction rate generating unit (11) for generating a reduction rate at each position of the input image attendant on deformation of the input image in a mode of deformation of the input image by using effect information denoting the mode; and a filter processing unit (12) performing the filter processing with a filter characteristic decided on the basis of the reduction rate with respect to each position of the input image, a memory buffer (14) stores image information of the input image subjected to the filter processing by the filter processing unit (12) in a prescribed order, and the image information is read according to the read address generated on the basis of the effect information.
