<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive reclosing method utilizing a variable dead time control in a transmission line when an accident occurs thereon. <P>SOLUTION: Upon occurrence of an accident on a transmission line (T/L), voltage waveform at a relay point after tripping of an interrupter is transmitted through a potential transformer (PT) or a current & voltage transformer (CVT) of the transmission line to a 16 bit A/D converter (12) and digitized. Noise is then removed through a low-pass filter and a noise-free digital signal is applied to a dead time control algorithm incorporated in a timer (79) in order to analyze the voltage waveform at the relay point. A dead time is then determined variably depending on whether secondary arc at the fault point can be extinguished or not, a reclosing relay (90) is controlled variably depending on the dead time thus determined, and control results of the reclosing relay are transmitted to the interrupter in a transmission system (11). Thereafter, power is transmitted again by closing an actual reclosing circuit adaptively thus recovering a transmission network automatically. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
