PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having improved low-temperature fixability and oilless fixability (hot offsettability). SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner consisting of at least a binder resin, coloring matter, and a releasing agent is prepared by using a polymer consisting of the acrylic or methacrylic acid derivative expressed by the following general formula as the releasing agent: CH<SB>2</SB>=CR<SB>1</SB>-COOCHR<SB>2</SB>CHR<SB>3</SB>-OCOR<SB>4</SB>: where, R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>are H or CH<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>is≥11-21C alkyl group.
