PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the noise generated when a metal belt contacts a pulley by reducing the vibration of the metal belt in a belt stepless speed change gear. SOLUTION: The belt-type stepless speed change gear is provided with a drive pulley 5 capable of changing the pulley width, a driven pulley 8 capable of changing the pulley width, and a metal belt 7 wounded between the drive pulley 5 and the driven pulley 8. The belt-type stepless speed change gear is formed to obtain the desired change ratio by changing the pitch diameters of the drive pulley 5 and the driven pulley 8 with changing the pulley widths of the drive pulley 5 and the driven pulley 8. A magnetic generator 50 generating a magnetic force in the perpendicular direction to the running direction of the metal belt 7 is provided around the crossing position of a passage trajectory at the minimum change gear ratio of the metal belt 7 and a passage trajectory at the maximum change gear ratio of the metal belt 7.
