PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recoil starter that can connect a power-driven device to the same output shaft C in the state of mounting the recoil starter to the output shaft C of an engine E. SOLUTION: A reel support shaft 4 is formed on the axis of the output shaft C of the engine E in a starter case 1. A rope reel 3 wound with a recoil rope 2, and a cam 6 for transmitting rotation to the output shaft C on the engine E side through a one-way clutch 8, are rotatably mounted to the reel support shaft 4. The rope reel 3 and the cam 6 are connected by a damper means 12, and an opening 16 extending from the output shaft C of the engine E to the outside of the starter case 1 is formed on the center line of the reel support shaft 4 formed in the starter case 1. The rotational output of the engine E can thereby be connected to the outside of the starter case 1 through the opening 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
