PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate the operational inconvenience for a user when he/she purchases a commodity with a vending machine, and to prevent false purchase. SOLUTION: A portable communication terminal 20 receives identification information on a commodity to be housed in the vending machine 10 from a center device 30, and designates the received commodity identification information for the vending machine 10. The vending machine 10 associates the identification information on the commodity to be stored in a column with the identification number of the column for storing the commodity and stores the information, if the commodity identification information is designated from the portable communication terminal 20, detects a column number corresponding to the designated commodity identification information, makes the corresponding column actuate based on the detected column number and performs sales processing of the designated commodity.
