摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution using an electrophoretic element in order to control light quantity made incident on an imaging device. SOLUTION: The electrophoretic light quantity adjusting element is constituted of substantially transparent 1st and 2nd substrates, a plurality of electrodes formed on the substrates, a gap supporting body for keeping a gap between the substrates at a specified value, and transparent insulating liquid with which space between the 1st and the 2nd substrates is filled and which includes a plurality of opaque electrostatic charge floating particles, and adjusts the light quantity transmitted through an aperture part being at least one part of the 1st and the 2nd substrates.
