PURPOSE: A cooking apparatus with a heater is provided to set heating temperature of a cooking chamber easily by selecting one of temperature setting buttons including various predetermined values in an input unit. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven has heaters in a cooking chamber, and two or more temperature setting buttons representing each setting temperature. An input unit(204) of the microwave oven has a keypad(302), a start button(304) and a stop button(306), and buttons for selecting the cooking mode. Each temperature is assigned to the number key of the keypad. Heating temperature of the cooking chamber is set by selecting one of the temperature setting buttons, and displayed on a display unit(224). One among plural cooking modes is selected according to the kind of food, and the input unit is automatically converted into the temperature setting mode. The desired temperature is set by pushing the temperature setting button, and the predetermined temperature corresponding to each temperature setting button is varied according to the cooking mode.
