<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap type airtight writing instrument which has the function of preventing the drying of a writing tip, and enables the projection/receding of a writing element and the maintenance of airtightness only by moving a cap forward and backward without removing it. <P>SOLUTION: The cap (2) is attached to the tip part of the writing element (1) so as to be movable between a writing position and a storage position. An airtight sleeve (9) is inserted into the cap (2) in a longitudinally movable manner so as to surround the writing tip (3) of the writing element (1). A lid element (15) is provided in the airtight sleeve (9) via a hinge (14) so as to be crimped onto an opening edge (13) which is formed in a front part. When the airtight sleeve (9) is in an advance position, a pressing rib (17), which is provided on the back surface of the lid element (15), enters a window hole (18) and permits the opening of the lid element (15). When the airtight sleeve (9) is in a receding position, the pressing rib (17) abuts on an inner surface (16) of the cap (2) so that the lid element (15) can be crimped onto the opening edge (13) and so that the inside of the airtight sleeve (9) can be made airtight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
